Residential Care at the Cambridgeshire Care Home

Premium Residential Care For The Elderly From First Care Homes

At The Cambridgeshire Care Home, we pride ourselves as being a leader in quality residential care homes for the elderly. We are a unique residential home where we tailor our resident’s care around them.

At our residential care home for the elderly, we provide care for older people who cannot complete simple daily routines. This includes support for those who need help with day-to-day tasks and support to protect them against isolation. Our philosophy is to provide assisted living when required, and a warm happy home the rest of the time.

Our elderly residential home is a safe environment where residents can receive 24-7 care and support.

A Person-Centred Approach to Residential Care

Our person-centred approach means that the dignity and independence of our residents is our number one priority

Bespoke Assisted Living for Care Home Residents

Before admission, we perform a ‘pre-admission’ assessment. With this assessment, we can tailor an individualised care plan to the resident’s needs. This also includes routine reviews of this plan to ensure the correct care is always maintained.

We create a care plan to meet the specific needs of the individual.

In our residential care facility, the occupant’s tailored plan will enable them to partake in all the activities they enjoy, eat the foods they like and sleep at their own preferred time. Our team carry an iPad which will detail each resident’s routine and backstory at all times.

Changes to the routines are only made when completely necessary.

Phillip M, Son of Resident, 25th July 2018

“My mother moved to TCCH at the age of 92 with a terminal condition. The trauma of moving from a family home after 70 plus years was almost worse for my mother than her disease. However, all the staff handled the transition with great sensitivity and understanding. Although my mother died 10 weeks after her admission, we could not have been happier with the quality of care provided by the staff who showed superb levels of expertise, professionalism and empathy. Equally, the level of family support was really appreciated. The quality of the facilities and catering services was also faultless.”

All the Comforts of Home With Support From Our Ever Present Staff

We encourage residents to bring personal possessions here with them and to take part in exciting group activities. These activities include craft sessions, reminiscence afternoons, coffee mornings and live music. The activities are all designed to meet the cognitive, sensory, social and emotional needs of each resident. Our staff are ever-present and ready to give the support our residents need. They are aware of the resident’s right to privacy and independence. While our staff are there to give support, we train them to always respect residents’ privacy and uphold their dignity.

A Residential Care Facility Like No Other

Our incredible home contains high-quality facilities which all aid the promotion of positive well being.  This includes a bistro, a cinema, hairdressers, therapy rooms and lots of large clear windows which give incredible views across our award-winning gardens.
